The avicolous infrastructure Hatcheries The number of hatchery in Tunisia is about 36 including 30 for table fowl, two hatcheries completely specialized in the turkey poults and 4 specialized in the one day old pullet. Food factories The number of food factories is more than 600 including 140 related to commercial the remainder making up of units specific to the stockbreeders for the mixture with the farm. More than 70% of the sales turnover of the factories is realized by ten company. Slaughter-houses The number of slaughter-houses is of 18; Within these slaughter-houses one counts 6 workshops of cutting and 6 workshops of transformation. - Table fowl breedings : 5586
