The GIPA holds the secretariat of the Advisory Committee of Poultry Production Planning whose role is to:

• Evaluate poultry production estimates in accordance with consumer needs.
• Devise an annual program for the importation of breeding chicks or, if is not the case, hatching eggs depending on already set up technical and economic criteria and then refer the matter to the Ministry of Agriculture Environment and Water Resources for opinion and decision.
• Follow through the achievements of the imported breeding chicks and suggest the necessary adjustments.
